Meet the modern day Mountain Man of Silverado Canyon and Naturalist Joel Robinson. He cares about all humans, protecting Mother Earth, his Naturalist-for-you non profit and connecting everyone to local wilderness!
I followed Joel for over 3 months and was introduced to his world. He is an advocate, a barefoot nature guide, a forager and a land steward. He is also a great dad, a musician, kind, articulate and an all around good guy. Together we went on adventures, documented his daily life and ongoing challenges of protecting the wilderness that he strives to connect to his fellow man.
All of these adventures were documented and will be in a book including 100 pages of color photos and facts about all things Joel. We will kick off a traveling interactive exhibit supporting the book and its elements this summer at the Heritage Museum of Orange County. Dates and locations to be announced, watch this space!
Until then, enjoy some images and visit Joel HERE to see what he is up to! If you’d like to be a part of Joel’s movement and partake in some adventures, visit his Meet up page HERE to see when the next event is.
Joel’s efforts to preserve, maintain and protect the Cleveland National Forest and all other surrounding wilderness areas are very admirable. I was inspired to do the same so KinCA Photography gives back annually to the National Forest Foundation. A foundation that plants trees, repairs trails, coordinates forest and beach cleanups and so much more! To be a part of something amazing today, visit them HERE.
